- These companies employ 167 million people across the globe.
- Revenue per employee is just over $423,000.
- Walmart is still the largest company with $572 billion in revenue.
- The smallest company in the Global 5000 reports revenue at $1.08 billion
- Of the 5,000 companies in the database, 1,119 are private, not listed companies
- The financial services industry is the largest of all verticals with 850 companies
- 1,943 companies are headquartered in the USA followed by 561 in China and 382 in Japan
- Regionally, there are 2,079 in North America, 1,408 in AsiaPac and 1,216 in Europe
