Keeping a business database updated takes quite a bit of time to keep track of all the activity in the corporate world. If you are charged with maintaining your company’s internal data, you realize it is a constantly moving target.
Consider the following just in The Global 5000 company data set since the beginning of the year:
Consider that since the beginning of the year:
- 196 new companies have been added to the database
- 28 companies have been turned inactive due to sell-offs, lower revenue results or acquired by another firm
- During the course of the year, we have recorded 210 new corporate activities including M&A, IPOs and sell-off of various divisions
It is a constant process to keep track of these updates and keep the database as current as possible to support marketing and sales activities.
