We have started doing more analytical work on industry and segment groupings and have created a series of industry ecosystems. Think of them as “super groups” Take transportation for example. In addition to the typical transportation SIC or NAICS code concept our transportation ecosystem includes those traditional industries but also auto manufacturers, port and airport operators and similar related businesses.
We have created other ecosystems around food, financial businesses, leisure and energy. It is a more wholistic way to look at how markets move and are shaped.
