One of the unique aspects of our Global 5000 is that we not only include public companies but also any private firms whose revenue is large enough to make it on the list of the top 5,000 companies in the world.
We maintain a large database of companies and select the largest 5,000 which means we are continually researching and updating more than 5,000 in order to have replacements for M&A actions and have a method for including fast climbers.
This past couple of weeks during the turmoil of the market, four of these ‘up & comer’ private companies pulled back on their IPO plans.
No surprise, of course, given current market volatility.
For The Global 5000, they remain in the database, just marked as private companies and we keep on tracking and updating them – no change.
They should be on your prospect list / in your CRM systems as well.
