The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of May 2020, 21 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 223. During the month, 705 company records were updated with their 2019 financials and employees counts.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during May included:
- Phoenix Group Holdings Ltd. came back to the database after a year of down revenue
- St. James Place Plc also returned to the database.
- Pakistan State Oil is a $9 billion a year enterprise
- Alcon, Inc the Swiss medical products company
- Frasers Property headquartered in Singapore
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- United Technologies Corporation merged with Raytheon
- Panalpina World Transport was acquired by DSV of Denmark
- Noble Group Ltd of Singapore
- Worldpay was acquired by Fidelity National
- Rieter Holding AG had lower revenue and not qualified
