The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of February 2019, 14 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 202. During the month, 107 company records were updated as January & February are normally the slowest months as we await financial reporting. Towards the end of February we start seeing the new earnings releases for the year.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during February came from China:
- Ping An Bank Co., Ltd has revenue in excess of $25 billion
- Hengyi Petrochemical’s revenue exceed $10 billion
- Baiyin Nonferrous Group is a mining & metals processing company
- Sinotruk International Ltd manufactures heavy duty trucks
- China Nuclear Engineering is a defense industry contractor
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- P&O Ferries Holdings was acquired by DP World
- Chemring Group plc revenue fell below the minimum to qualify
- MLP AG is now too small for the Global 5000
- Oberbank AG is now too small for the Global 5000
- Himax Technologies is now too small for the Global 5000
