The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of July 2019, 23 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 224. During the month, 666 company records were updated.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during July included:
- Zall Smart Commerce Group – an $8 billion Chinese financial holding company
- IndusInd Bank of India
- Banco Davivienda SA, a $3 billion bank based on Colombia
- Core & Main LP – an industrial supply company that spun out of HD Supply
- Kerry Properties Ltd., a Hong Kong based real estate development firm.
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Supervalu, Inc. was acquired by United Natural Foods
- St. James’s Place plc reported negative income for the year
- Red Hat was acquired by IBM
- Havas is a subsidiary of Vivendi
- Actelion Ltd was acquired by Johnson & Johnson
