The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of August 2020, 15 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 243. During the month, 700 company records were updated as we continue our regular, daily updating process.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during August include:
- Hengli Group – the Chinese conglomerate
- Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)
- Cedar Holdings, a Chinese holding company
- Caixa Economica Federal – a Brazil based financial services company
- Tsingshan Holding Group – a $38 billion metals firm
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Lekkerland GmbH was acquired by REWE
- Syngenta AG is now part of ChemChina
- AvtoVAZ is part of Reneault
- Worldpay was acquired by Fidelity National
- Allied Building Products was acquired by Beacon Roofing Supply
