The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of April 2021, 27 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new companies added over the last 12 months to 260. During the month, 643 company records were updated as we continue our regular, daily updating process. Financial results from the previous year begin to get reported toward the end of February, making March a heavy updating month.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during the month included:
- Eskom Holdings, the utility services company in South Africa
- Technip Energies NV of France
- Aperam SA, a metals producer in Luxembourg
- SJM Holdings Ltd of Hong Kong
- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Inc. located in Shaghai
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- G4s Plc was acquired by Allied Universal
- HD Supply Holdings was re-acquired by Home Depot
- Cineworld Group’s revenue fell below the Global 5000 lowest level
- Wabco Holdings was acquired by ZF Friedrichshafen
- Cinemark Holdings revenue fell below the Global 5000 lowest level
