The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
To begin 2022, we have added/replaced 45 companies during Quarter One. This brings our total new companies added over the last 12 months to 198. Over 900 company records were updated during these three months. March is the month when the bulk of US based companies are publishing their 2021 financial results.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during the first quarter include:
- Daimler Truck Holding AG was spun off as a separate business
- Yunnan Provincial Investment Holding Group is a $25 billion Chinese government investment business
- Fonterra Co-Operative Group Ltd is a New Zealand food co-op
- Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is an India based company about to launch an IPO
- GXO Logistics, Inc. was spun out of XPO Logistics as a separate company
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Core-Mark Holding Company was acquired by Performance Food Group
- Navistar International Corporation merged with Traton
- National General Holdings Corp. was acquired by Allstate
- Osram Licht AG was acquired by AMS AG
- The Bountiful Company sold the majority of their brands to Nestle
