The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of January 2019, 14 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 209. During the month, 98 company records were updated as January is normally the slowest month as we await financial reporting.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies that were removed during January include:
- MMG Ltd (Minmetals Resources) is now a subsidiary of China Minmetals
- Janus Capital Group merged with Henderson Group
- Zardoya Otis SA is now too small to qualify
- Kimball International is too small to qualify
- California Water Service is too small to qualify
And, we added some interesting companies including:
- Grand Industrial Holding is a $15 billion agricultural products company
- Sichuan Changhong Electric Co is a Chinese appliance manufacturer
- Synnext Technology International Corp is an $11 billion technology firm
- Aeroflot-Rossiyskiye Avialinii is Russia’s national airline
- China National Chemical Engineering Group is an $8 billion business
