The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of July 2020, 23 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 250. During the month, 671 company records were updated as we continue our regular, daily updating process.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during July include:
- Fox Corporation is now a separate entity after the News Corp acquisition and split
- Asurion LLC is the private company insuring technology devices
- Imabari Shipbuilding Group is a $3 billion private Japanese firm
- STO Express, the transportation firm located in China
- Mace Group plc, the private engineering, consulting & construction company from UK
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Worldpay was acquired by Fidelity National
- Global Telecom Holding was acquired by VEON Ltd
- Eldorado Resorts merged with Caesers Entertainment
- Gansu Gangtai Holding Group reported revenue that is too small
- 3i Group Plc is also too small to make the 2019 database
