The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of July 2021, 16 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new companies added over the last 12 months to 259. During the month, 550 company records were updated as we continue our regular, daily updating process.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during the month included:
- Viterra Ltd – the $28 billion Glencore spin-off based in Netherlands
- Shenghong Holding Group – a private Chinese based holding company
- Guangxi Investment Group – an investment management group in China
- Sibur Holding PAO – the Russian chemical company
- loanDepot, Inc. – a US based mortgage servicer
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Anbang Insurance Group which is liquidating
- China Shipbuilding Industry is merging with CSSC
- Wirecard AG – the German FinTech company that went insolvent
- AirAsia Bhd -airline revenues fell below the 5,000
- Copa Holdings SA – a Latin America airline with low revenue in 2020
