The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of March 2020, 26 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 217. During the month, 587 company records were updated as the big wave of 2019 financials start flooding in.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during March included:
- Corteva, Inc which spun off from DuPontDow
- Dongxu Optoelectronic Technology Co Ltd, a $4 bln Chinese electronics firm
- Asklepios Kliniken GmbH, the German healthcare company
- Far East Horizon, a Hong Kong based financial lessor
- Covetrus, Inc which was created by a combo of Vets First Choice and a Henry Schein spin off
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Celgene Corp was acquired by Bristol Myers
- Eneco Holding NV was acquired by a consortium of Mitsubishi & Chubu
- Bemis Company was acquired by Amcor
- Total Systems Service was merged with Global Payments
- Worldpay was acquired by Fidelity National
