The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of November 2020, 14 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new companies added over the last 12 months to 229. During the month, 69 company records were updated as we continue our regular, daily updating process. The fourth quarter tends to be a light period for updates as most all company records were updated when financial results were posted for the year.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during the month included:
- Siemens Energy AG which was spun off from Siemens AG
- Downer EDI Ltd, an Australian based engineering services firm
- JDE Peet’s BV went public and was part of a larger organization
- Oman Telecommunications Company, the $6 billion telecom business
- Lufax, the Chinese financial services company
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Rock Ventures LLC was removed as the new Quicken Loans business went public
- Jacobs Douwe Egberts was removed and replace with the new public filing for Peet’s
- Aveng Limited reported revenue below $900 million
- Spotless Group is owned by another G5000 company – Downer EDI
- Gymboree Corporation has sold its stores and is now mostly incorporated into The Children’s Place
