The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of October 2019, 20 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 231. During the month, 308 company records were updated.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during October included:
- Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology, a communications technology company
- China Shipbuilding Industry Group Power with $4+ billion in revenue
- Tongwei Co – an agricultural feedstuff business
- Fiberhome Telecommunication Technologies of China
- Draegerwerk AG – a $3 billion German medical safety company
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- L-3 Technologies merged with Harris Corp.
- Murray Goulburn Co-operative was acquired by Saputo
- Clarion Co., Ltd was acquired by Faurecia
- Fairfax Media Ltd. was acquired by Nine Entertainment
- Armstrong Flooring (spun out of Armstrong World Industries) reported revenue too small to qualify
