The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
To begin 2022, we have added/replaced 20 companies during January & February. This brings our total new companies added over the last 12 months to 212. Over 200 company records were updated during these two months. January & February are typically the ‘slowest’ months for updates as we await the big rush of company annual filings for those firms with December year end.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during these two months include:
- Daimler Truck Holding AG – which was spun out of Daimler AG
- Yunnan Provincial Investment Holding Group – a China based investment firm
- Life Insurance Corporation of India which is in the final stages of becoming a public company
- GXO Logistics, Inc. spun out of XPO Logistics as a separate company
- ICL Group Ltd (Israel Chemical) – a $5.3 billion chemical company
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Core-Mark Holding Company which was acquired by Performance Food Group
- Navistar International Corporation merged with Traton
- Osram Licht AG – was acquired by AMS AG
- The Bountiful Company (fmr Nature’s Bounty) sold the majority of their brands to Nestle
- Debenhams Plc fell into receivership
