The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of February 2020, 15 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 221. During the month, 57 company records were updated as this is the normal lull in the cycle before the big wave of 2019 financials start flooding in.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during February included:
- Hailiang Group, a $26 billion private China based conglomerate
- Magneti Marelli SpA, the Fiat Chrysler spin off sold to private equity ownership
- Logan Property Holdings, a Hong Kong based real estate developer
- Matsumotokiyoshi Holdings, the Japanese based retailer
- First International Bank of Israel, a $4 billion financial entity
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Lonmin plc was acquired by Sibanye-Stillwate
- The McClatchy Company is now too small
- Indigo Books & Music also too small
- Innophos Holdings, Inc. also too small
- Libbey, Inc. also too small
