The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for business lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
For the month of January 2020, 13 new companies were added to the Global 5000 database. This brings our total new adds over the last 12 months to 219. During the month, 136 company records were updated.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies we added during January included:
- Globalia, the Spanish tour operator & travel company
- Zhongyuan Bank of China, a $4 billion dollar company
- Shenzhou International Group, a Chinese apparel company
- Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam
- Banque Centrale Populaire of Morocco
And some of the notable firms we removed from the active file include the following:
- Thomas Cook Group which suffered a financial collapse
- Avon Products which was acquired by Natura
- Quanex Building Products having reported revenue that is too small for the Global 5000
- Kulicke & Soffa Industries – now also too small
- Pike Electric Corp also too small
