The Global 5000 database of the largest companies in the world continues to provide B2B marketers a timely, continually updated source of business information for B2B lead generation, CRM systems and ABM activity.
As we closed out the year for 2019, we added 58 new companies to the Global 5000 database during Q4. This brings our total new adds for the year to 234.
During the quarter, we updated 490 records bringing the total updates for the year to 5,099.
Every month we complete a series of updates so that we cycle thru the entire database annually. In this process there are always a number of changes and major deals in the M&A world. Companies with a marketing database that don’t follow this level of activity are truly missing out in their sales and marketing efforts.
Some of the top companies that were removed during Q4 include:
- Viacom which merged with CBS
- SunTrust Banks merged with BB&T and are now renamed Truist Financial
- L-3 Technologies has now merged with Harris Corp.
- Zodiac Aerospace merged with Safran
- Nexeo Solutions was acquired by Univar
And, we added some interesting companies including:
- Endesa SA is the Spanish utility company
- AXA Equitable is a $12 bln insurance & financial services company
- Signify NV from the Netherlands
- Grupo Antolín-Irausa, the Spanish auto parts company
- Mutua Madrilena, an insurance company in Spain
