Focusing on the largest firms – The Global 5000 – there are generally more of these than in smaller companies. These activities and changes become important for Database Marketers as they have to continually update their internal systems that can feed sales prospects and account management.

- GrupoSura is acquiring the LatinAmerica assets of ING
- HSBC is selling it’s NY banks to First Niagra Financial
- Hynix Semiconductor is taking bids to be acquired
- Joy Global is buying 41% of China’s International Mining Machinery
- Kinetic Concepts is being taken private
- Lenovo Group is acquiring Medion
- Macarthur Coal is being acquired by a joint effort of Peabody Coal and ArcelorMittal
- NCR is acquiring Radiant Systems
- TransUnion is filing for an IPO
